Kind Words from our Families
Here's what some of our families have to say
About Me
Hi, I’m Carrie – mum of two, former Early Childhood Educator, and the heart behind Harvelle Infant Therapies.
My journey into baby massage began during pregnancy, when I attended an introductory session and was captivated by the benefits – not just for babies, but for parents as well. Once my son arrived, we made it our ritual – dim lights, soft music and time to simply connect. We built a beautiful bond during this time and it also helped to ease his tummy discomfort – a relief for both of us.
That experience led me to the Infant Massage Information Service (IMIS), where I trained and qualified as a Certified Paediatric Massage Consultant. This level of qualification – supported by my early childhood education background – allows me to work with both families and health professionals. I then trained as a Baby Yoga Instructor through Blossom & Berry, drawn in by the benefits of gentle movement and connection for growing babies.
You might be wondering where the name Harvelle came from. I spent a long time trying to think of a name that captured everything I wanted this business to be about – nurture, connection, calm, gentle beginnings, bonding and playfulness – but nothing felt quite right. Then I thought of the two people who inspired it all: my son, Harvey, and my daughter, Eleanor. By combining their names, Harvelle was born. It felt so fitting, because creating this business has always been about sharing the kind of special moments, connection and calm I first experienced with my own children.
Harvelle was born from a simple desire – to share these practices with other families in our region, and to create a space to relax, bond and thrive… together.
I can’t wait to welcome you and your little one.

Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions? Here are the ones we hear most often.
If there’s anything else on your mind, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
None at all. Everything is guided step-by-step in a supportive environment at a pace that suits you and your baby.
We recommend classes for babies aged 6 weeks to 12 months, though this is a guide rather than a strict limit. Pre-crawling babies tend to settle most easily for massage, while the movement classes can suit babies who are on the move too.
Completely normal - you’re in a room full of babies! We always follow your baby’s lead, and there’s no expectation to push through. Demonstration dolls are available if your baby needs a break.
Group classes are held in a community hall setting with the location confirmed when you book. Private Sessions can be held at your home or another suitable location –just get in touch to discuss what works for you. Available across the Southern Tablelands, ACT and Eurobodalla regions (travel fees may apply for some locations).
Discovery, Flow and Origins are capped at 8 families, with a minimum of 3 families to run. If minimum numbers aren’t reached, you will be contacted to reschedule or receive a full refund.
A blanket or mat for your baby to lie on, baby’s favourite toys or comforter and anything else to bring ease to you or your baby.
Yes, there are some things to be aware of. Please keep your baby home if they’re unwell, have a fever, or have had immunisations in the last 48 hours. Some conditions or recent procedures may also mean we need to adapt certain techniques or need GP clearance to attend. If you’re unsure, reach out to Carrie before booking.
Absolutely – it’s a lovely time to learn these skills so you’re ready to practice from birth. We have demonstration dolls to practice on, and we ask that you check in with your health professional before attending to make sure the class is appropriate for you.
Yes! If you'd like to gather a small group of friends and host a Harvelle workshop in your home, I'd love to make that happen. As a thank you for saving on venue costs, the host receives a discount off their own workshop fee. All I need is a comfortable space with enough room for families to spread out and move around freely.
